Support for the Holux M-241 has been added in the latest version.
The Holux M-241 support is still primary and in beta stage, but you're free to try it.

Please leave your feedback in this forum.

After spending some time searching for a way to connect the M-241 to my Mac, I am excited about finding Mac TR. The first time I used it, it worked exactly as it is supposed to. Now I can still connect easily and download my track data, but the Data Log List screen no longer shows choices for how to export the waypoints. What happened, and how can I get those functions back so I can geotag my photos?

Thanks -

I'm not sure what you mean. Can you send me a screenshot?
Make sure you download the latest version first (we've made a lot of changes lately, specially for the M-241).

I checked the version, and downloaded again just to make sure. Attached is the Data Log List tab without any list of choices to direct the file to.

There isn't enough data to make reliable export files.

I think the data had become corrupt. It is now working, and I have been able to Geotag some photos, but had to use another software program to do it. I was not able to get the Geotag tab on Mac TR to work. It went through all the steps it was supposed to, but did not find the data. I think it may have to do with the time setting.

I am pretty sure I will purchase your program as I do not think there is another solution like it. Thanks for your help.

I just bought a Holux M-241
Downloaded trial version of Mac Travel Recorder on my Mac OS 10.5
Mac Bluetooth can see the M-241 on Bluetooth-PDA-Sync, but Mac TR can't, says "Can't initialise GPS Try Another Port"
Same message if I use USB cable via port SLAB_USBtoUART
Tried all the Baudrate settings.
What am I doing wrong ?

You probably need to ad a serial port to the blue tooth settings.

Still no success.
Did Bluetooth settings as attached.
On Mac TR, if I select Serial Port = Bluetooth-Modem, I get Serial Error 100.
If I select Serial Port = Modem, I get "Can't initialise GPS Try Another Port"
In bluetooth settings I have choice of 'Modem' or 'RS-232' and I've tried both.

There's nothing else to try. It's the way it works for a couple of hundred users now.
If it doesn't for you, you can only conclude the M-241 is not compatible with your computer.

I want to purchase this product if I can get it to work.
Seems the M-241 does connect to my G5, see the attached connection log. It connects via BT747 but this is fairly clunky, your product seems much more Mac-like.
I assume I just need to get the right combination of Connect settings.
What should I choose as the Serial Port option? what Baudrate number?
I've got the demo version 2.4.0.3 in a TravelRecorder folder in my Applications, is this right.
I must be doing something wrong if others use it OK

You might want to use the same settings as you use with BT747.
