Post subject: Missing minus sign west of 0-meridian?
PostPosted: Wed 11 Jun, 2008 22:51
I have used the iBlue data logger on a ferry trip from Holland to the UK (IJmuiden-Newcastle). All my exported data west of the 0 meridian lack a minus sign (when I add the minus sign manually in an editor the track displays OK in Google Earth).

The minus sign is missing in all 3 data formats.

I'm using the free Macfan version but I could not find a reference to this problem in the Mac Travel Recorder Forum.
Questions:
* Has this been fixed?
* Can I still make use of a free version or am I now obliged to purchase a paid version?

regards,
Erik

You've noticed one of the limitations of the free version (it only works in part of the world). The shareware version works all over the world.

Bert,
I have been discussing with the Macfan editor about the "limited" version. He thought the "error' may have been a mistake and suggested to ask for a free update for the Macfan readers.

How about that?

I don't think that will be a general company policy. However, you can always send me an email and ask for a personal update.
I've checked with the subscription department and they told me you're supporting the magazine for a long time, so I'm convinced we can work something out.
