I'm trying to get i-Blue 747 working with 12" G4 PB, running OSX 10.4.

Installing osx-pl2303-0.3.1-10.4-universal doesn't bring any new serial port options available.

Installing SLAB_USBtoUART from cardinal-osx-V1_06_2-release.dmg does bring up a serial option SLAB_USBtoUART, but it brings up:

Can't initialize GPS
Try Another Serial Port

Any ideas?

You might want to play with the order: turning the iBlue on before connecting vs connect it before turning it on.

That was it, thank you!

One needs to connect the iBlue before switching it on. Excellent, now it works with USB connection.

While tinkering, I was able to get it working via bluetooth aswell, by creating a bluetooth serial port with OSX's own tools - and it also worked like a charm.

Very nice, now I'm officially geotag-capable also with my travel-pb :)

You're welcome.

Hmm, it shouldn't. You should be able to change the configuration but retrieving the data shouldn't work. But maybe the manufacturer changed it.

The next step is to become an officially registered user of Mac Travel Recorder :-)

Downloading data also worked, so something is probably changed then. I have relatively new version on i-Blue (51chan, 32MB version, purchased yesterday..) so maybe it has actually has changed.

And yes, becoming a officially registered user of Mac Travel Recorder is part of my master plan :)
